Eyewitnesses reported that a plane crashed this morning in the vicinity of El Fasher, killing its crew. Investigations indicate that the type and cause of the crash have not yet been determined.
According to witness statements from the crash site, it was an Antonov, and it was impossible to shoot it down with ground-based anti-aircraft missiles such as the Z-37 or Z-23.
Colonel Pilot Moataz, Captain Mohamed Kamal, and their comrades on the North Darfur plane were martyred while honorably performing their duty, carrying a message of humanity and patriotism. According to investigations, the plane that crashed today in El Fasher was carrying food and medicine.
A military expert said that the Rapid Support Forces did not have the capabilities to shoot down the plane because it was immune to ground attacks. He said it might have been hit by a missile from a warplane.
